Dive into the timeless teachings of the Anapanasati Sutra, the ancient Buddhist text that guides us in the practice of mindfulness of breathing. All levels of meditation practice are welcome.  Our class series is designed to help you cultivate deeper awareness, tranquility, and insight through practice with the Anapanasati Sutra.

About Brian & Holly

Brian began his meditation practice in 1979. He is ordained in the Tiep Hien Order of Interbeing, a Thich Nhat Hanh Plum Village tradition, and facilitates two Maryland Sanghas. A graduate of the 2-year MMTCP Meditation Teacher Certification Program through the Insight Meditation Society, Brian has also contributed to the Prison Mindfulness Meditation Outreach Program. A retired high school teacher, he enjoys playing jazz piano and being in nature.

Holly obtained a 300-hour meditation teacher certification from the Engaged Mindfulness Institute and is a certified mindfulness teacher (CMT-P) with the International Mindfulness Teachers Association. She emphasizes the transformative power of personal practice, incorporates trauma-informed approaches, and honors the diverse backgrounds of her students. An active member within the Plum Village tradition since 2015, she facilitates a weekly online sangha and provides mindfulness meditation teachings.
