Retreat for SHINE: Cultivating Resilience Through Positive Practice
Join us for a joyful, nourishing online retreat designed to help you shift from stress and negativity toward balance, resilience, and inner goodness. Together we’ll practice SHINE, a simple yet powerful framework for cultivating positive states of mind and heart — individually and in community.
This gathering brings together participants from Cohorts 1 and 2 of the Integrated Meditation Program (IMP) — and you’re warmly invited to bring family, friends, and colleagues who might benefit from a few hours of restorative practice.

About the Retreat
This half-day retreat offers three hours of enhancing goodness through guided SHINE practice, inquiry with buddies, and community connection. Together we’ll explore how cultivating positive states helps rebalance the brain’s negativity bias and expand our capacity for wellbeing.
You’ll also receive an introduction to the Integrated Meditation Program (IMP)—a trauma-informed, attachment-aware approach that helps shift baseline patterns, making it more natural and sustainable to recognize and rest in goodness.
Throughout the retreat, you’ll hear from graduates of Cohorts 1 and 2 sharing how these practices have supported their healing, relationships, and meditation practice.
You’ll Experience:
- Extended guided SHINE meditations
- Buddy inquiry and reflection practices
- A teaching on the neuroscience of positivity and resilience
- Voices from IMP alumni about their personal journeys
- Small-group integration and discussion
- Practical tools you can use immediately
Perfect For:
- Anyone who’s taken a SHINE workshop and wants to go deeper
- Those curious about the Integrated Meditation Program
- People seeking tools to stay grounded and resilient in difficult times
- Friends, family, and colleagues exploring these practices together
Bring someone you love — a friend, a colleague, or a family member. Please ask everyone attending to register so we can plan for space and ensure each person receives the correct link.

A Glimpse of the SHINE Practice
SHINE helps us move gently against the brain’s negativity bias — training attention to recognize, receive, and deepen what’s good.
S – Sense:
Begin by sensing something that feels good, safe, or supportive — a pleasant sensation, a moment of connection, or a feeling of gratitude in the present moment.
H – Hold:
Stay with the experience for a few breaths. Let it fill your awareness so it can imprint in the nervous system.
I – Inquire:
Gently explore what makes this experience feel good and where you notice it.
N – Nourish:
Like tending a garden, water the goodness with openness, curiosity, and attention. Soften resistance and keep returning to what’s alive and wholesome.
E – Enhance:
Let the feeling grow and spread through your body, heart, and mind. Imagine carrying it with you into daily life, strengthening new neural pathways of joy and resilience.
Space is limited — please [register here] to reserve your spot!
