Talk: The Hidden Intelligence of Anger – Hybrid in Minneapolis, with Common Ground

The Buddha identified anger as one of the three root poisons—but the tradition has rarely paused to ask: which anger?

The anger of violated boundaries is not the same as the anger arising from trauma, masking grief, confronting injustice, protecting integrity, or carrying what has been passed down through generations. They may all be called anger, but they arise from different conditions, have different needs, and invite different responses.

The Dharma offers profound tools for working with anger. The question is whether we’ve always known which tool to apply to which kind of anger.
