An Important Note: Amma’s Cancer Diagnosis

Amma has recently received a cancer diagnosis and will be undergoing a double mastectomy on May 31, 2024, with radiation treatment following. As Amma’s teaching at Awakening Truth is paused while she recovers, your donations will help with her stipend.

Dana as a Spiritual Practice

Dana means generosity. It has been one of the pillars of the Buddha’s teaching for 2500 years. It is important because of all that it does. It invites us to explore the effects of giving and receiving. It connects us to our goodness. This gives us more capacity to release fear, greed, and aversion in our minds. Generosity illuminates our interdependence and shows how teachers, students, and the community are connected.

Awakening Truth as an organization and Learning Center exists because of people’s generosity.

What is being offered here, today, is only due to the generosity of those in the past. When considering a donation, consider how generous you can be to support the teachers, and the teachings and support this community to prosper.

Giving is Tax Deductible

Awakening Truth is a 501 c3. All donations are tax-deductible. You will receive an acknowledgment at the end of the year for tax purposes. This way of supporting each other is meant to be a source of joy and connection, an essential step in awakening the heart of freedom. Please feel free to ask questions and offer feedback.

• You can make a pledge to support one of the Awakening Truth bills.
